VHF Radio Assessments Available
Please contact us to book a time slot for your VHF SRC Marine Radio Assessment. If the days in the calendar don’t suit please contact us. We are often able to provide these in an evening as well as after our VHF Radio Classroom Courses. If you have booked the VHF online course with us there is no additional charge for the assessment.

Before taking your VHF SRC Radio Assessment make sure you have completed the online test which generates your certificate. During the assessment you will receive a short written paper as well as being asked to make some practice calls on our training radios. Make sure you have studied your phonetic alphabet and Mayday call structure (in order). Check your knowledge of channel numbers. Think about which radio call you’d make for different situations. If your boat was sinking what type of call would you make?
Not taken the course yet? We offer online course or classroom options. The online option allows you to access the course when and where you want and you then visit us for the final assessment. The classroom option will see you receive face to face teaching, usually followed by the assessment at the end of the day.
