If you Free Boating Quiz – Friday Evenings

Held online,  our Free Boating Quiz has become a regular Free Friday night feature in our calendar.  Just for fun, no prizes, leagues or pressure.

If you use a laptop or computer to access our Zoom meeting then chat to Dom our Quiz Master and hear the questions.  You will need a smartphone to use as an interactive keypad to give your answers.   We usually include three short rounds with varying topics from boating acronyms through to cartoon characters on boats having been included so far.  You can expect a mix of light hearted silliness and  boating information (sail and power).   It is multiple choice so 25% chance of being right even before you hear the question. It’s fastest finger first which adds to the fun. The quiz usually takes about 45mins including short breaks between rounds.

Book a place for our Free Boating Quiz through our Contact Us Form:  Contact Dorset Marine Training.  That way we know who to admit to the Zoom meeting call.  If you’re using a different name on Zoom please let us know so we can match up the names.  We will include information on how to use Zoom if you’re unfamiliar with the platform.  Please note others will see your name and that you are participating (you can just use first name if preferred).  If you turn on your webcam and microphone others will hear and see you.   You are welcome to choice whether to inactive webcam and mic but its lovely to see a few faces as it gives us some feedback and develops a sense of community.   So far everyone participating has been people we know through sailing clubs, forums, our own clients etc and its been great for people to chat.
