RYA SAFE & FUN COURSE
For those wishing to obtain an instructor qualification or just working with young people within a club/training environment. It is a vital introduction to dealing with the safeguarding environment.
This course is suitable for anyone working with children and vulnerable adults in an RYA environment. This includes those volunteering or working at recognised training centres and affiliated clubs. You will undertake the course online and it will provide a basic level of knowledge and awareness. This uses the context of realistic scenarios that anyone could encounter at their club or centre. It is a requirement for all newly qualifying Level 2 Racing Coaches, Dinghy and Windsurfing Instructors and Senior Instructors. Your Safe & Fun course should be completed prior to your instructor/coach training course.

We can get you set up for the RYA Safe & Fun course within a short period of time and all the resources you require are available online allowing you to complete the course at a time and pace to suit each individual. Please note this is not automated, your login details will be sent via email usually within a hour or two of booking. If urgent, email us to check how quickly we can set it up – we are usually quite flexible including evenings and weekends.

The RYA estimate the course equates to the same as 3 hours of classroom teaching. You can undertake the training at your own pace, either all in one go or in a number of short sessions.
The cost of the course is £15. This includes the course and online/telephone support from our Instructors if needed. If you have a group requiring training please contact us for a bespoke quotation.
PLEASE NOTE : RYA Courses are not automatically activated and whilst we are usually very prompt at setting them up (including outside of standard office hours) on rare occasions it may take up to 48hrs. If you require urgent access please phone us to confirm availability before booking online. By buying online and requesting immediate access to the course you waive your 14 day right to cancel. If you would rather wait the 14 days and then be set up we are happy to do that. Please note that we will of course always work with you to resolve any concerns you have.
