Yachtmaster Theory via Zoom

Event Details

This event finished on 05 June 2020

Yachtmaster Theory course delivered live by Zoom.

How does it work?

This is a great way to complete your Yachtmaster Theory Course.  We have been teaching via Zoom since the beginning of lockdown so know that the system works.  We have multiple cameras allowing us to zoom in on chartwork and demonstrate examples or move to a presentation or resources.  Initially proposed as a temporary option, this system has shown enormous potential and benefits.   We run the course over ten weekday mornings.  This then allows you time to complete exercises and revision before moving onto the next topic.  It also builds in time to relax ensuring you have time to fully understand topics and building a solid foundation.  The Instructor is available to talk to outside of teaching times.  Think of the time you save driving to a classroom!

Who delivers the Yachtmaster Theory via Zoom Course?

We are delivering this course with a partner, UKSA.  They organise the course and the bookings but Dom teaches it.   Dom has worked as a freelance instructor for UKSA on numerous Day Skipper and Yachtmaster Theory courses so this was a natural progression.  Your qualification upon successful completion will be issued by UKSA.

Dom, our Chief Instructor,  is known for his relaxed and approachable personality.  He prides himself on finding new ways to teach the course content keeping it as interactive as possible for a theory course.  He also appreciates a good coffee break so be assured there will be time to take a break to aid brain power.  Dom is a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster for sail and power boats.  He works full time around the water instructing and also skippers a variety of commercial boats, having relevant and up to date examples to illustrate the theory.
