PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES & RESPONSIBILITIES (PPR) COURSE

The Professional Practices and Responsibilities (PPR) Course is an online course that you need to complete as part of the qualifications to gain a commercial endorsement. It is a study of the legal environment you will be working under and requires study of various documents including MGN280. This is a comprehensive course with several modules to work through including Commercial Environment, People, purpose and Vessel. You can complete the modules in one sitting or over a period of time and there is a final timed assessment.

If you are thinking of taking the Advanced Powerboat ‘exam’ we would suggest taking the PPR before your ‘exam’ as it will increase your overall awareness. The RYA estimate users will take around 6 to 8 hours to work through the four course modules. The graded end of course assessment is split into two sections, totalling 2 ½ hours. The cost of the course is £39. This includes the course and online/telephone support from our Instructors if needed.
